YOUR CARE

How care works at Advanced Cosmetics at Salt.

Every treatment starts with a private consultation and a proper assessment. No one gets booked for a procedure in the first conversation. If a treatment isn’t right for you, we’ll say so.

STEP 01

Your first consultation.

A private conversation with a registered practitioner. We talk through what you want to change, your medical history, what you’ve tried, and the stage of life you’re in.

We work out together whether a treatment suits you, and if it doesn’t, we’ll say so.

STEP 02

Medical and mental-health screening.

Before we plan anything, we complete a formal screening. Your medical history, current medications, pregnancy and breastfeeding status, allergies, prior reactions, and the conditions that make certain treatments unsafe.

We also screen for why you’re seeking treatment. If a cosmetic treatment isn’t going to help, we’ll say so.

This step is mandatory. We can’t move past it.

STEP 03

Independent prescriber review.

Advanced Cosmetics at Salt operates in partnership with Fresh Clinics for independent medical governance and prescribing.

Any prescription treatment is reviewed by an independent medical practitioner. That person is separate from the nurse treating you.

STEP 04

Your written treatment plan.

Before you consent to anything, you get a written plan. What we’re proposing, what each session covers, what it costs, the risks we discussed, and the review points we’ll build in.

The plan is yours to take home, read, show to someone else, and come back to with questions. Nothing is binding until you sign consent in the room on the day.

STEP 05

Aftercare and follow-up.

Every treatment comes with written aftercare. What’s normal in the first 24 to 72 hours, what to avoid, and when to come back for review. Follow-up appointments are booked in with your treatment.

If something is bothering you between visits, call us. Don’t wait.

STEP 06

If something goes wrong.

Complications are rare but possible with any medical treatment. If one happens, we assess it, treat it, and escalate to the independent medical practitioner immediately if it needs it. Serious complications are notified to the regulatory authority, as required by law.

Every patient gets our after-hours number in writing at their first treatment. During clinic hours call 0411 113 887.

Have a question before you book?

Start with a conversation. No commitment, and no treatment on the day.
